FOX cancelled "The OC"

The popular teen drama, which has been losing fans lately has been... cancelled. After 4 seasons, the series come to an end, the last episode will air February 22. Since tonight, FOX will air new episodes every thrusday nigths..

This move was expected since FOX ordered only 16 episodes for this season.., down from orders of more than 25 episodes for the first 3 seasons.

"This feels like the best time to bring the show to its close," show creator Josh Schwartz said in a statement. "Thanks to the hard work of our cast, crew and writers, we have enjoyed our best season yet, and what better time to go out than creatively on top. It has been an amazing experience and a great run. For a certain audience, at a certain time, The OC has meant something. For that we are grateful."

The show debuted in August 2003 and quickly grabbed fans longing for the tryst-laden days of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place.

Save the OC didnt work... There are some rumors pointing that the CW will pick up THE OC, but its just a rumor, and Josh Schwartz already signed a deal for a thriller drama series for NBC.
